Centennial, CO Vets

When a family member is under the weather or suffering from discomfort, he deserves the attention of a caring, competent physician with the skills to diagnose his ailment and the compassion to treat him with tenderness.

Dr. Rebecca Walker:

Dr. Walker graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. Shortly after joining an AAHA-acredited small animal practice near San Antonio, she was named the Recent Graduate Practitioner of the Year by the Texas Veterinary Medical Association. Five years later, her professional peers awarded her dedication again by making her the Medical Director of a busy three doctor practice. In this position, Dr. Walker set the standards for exceptional quality of care. It was expected that she and her staff would go above and beyond for their patients and clients. This drive to be the best has Dr. Walker completing the very difficult process of becoming a diplomat of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners. This prestigious credential would make Dr. Walker one of the most specialized general practitioners in the state. Over the past 10 years, Dr. Walker has proven to be a conscientious, compassionate veterinarian. Her special interests include internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and dermatology. She lives with her husband and two young daughters in Centennial where they take advantage of all the outdoor splendors that Colorado has to offer. In her spare time, Dr. Walker enjoys reading, running, and scrapbooking. She is truly honored and excited to join Coal Creek Veterinary Hospital and looks forward to caring for your furry family members as if they were her own.

Dr. Joanne Bigbee:

Dr Bigbee graduated from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006 where she was the class Vice-President. She grew up coast to coast from New Jersey and Boston to Los Angeles and has settled in between here in beautiful Colorado. She has a special interest in internal medicine and behavior and has built close relationships with the behavior specialists in the area. As a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners, she also is interested in the special needs of cats, recognizing that cats are not small dogs! She even studied veterinary medicine in Madras, India and was the International Club Vice President during her vet school years. Dr. Bigbee has a passion for giving back to the community--she instituted a puppy class for new owners, mentored young students during "shadow days," has been a guest speaker at local schools, and even appeared on Channel 9 News as an expert consultant. Dr. Bigbee entered into veterinary medicine because she wanted a career that would be both challenging as well as fulfilling and include lots of furry faces. She is excited to join Coal Creek Veterinary Hospital and looks forward to meeting you and your furry family members.
